The Gospel

We here at FaithFilter love you, and because we love you, we must tell you the truth.

Stop. NOW! Stop trying NOW! It's too late to be a "good person." No one is. It can't be done by any mere human.

We've all broken God's perfect moral law. We've lied, stolen, we've all committed idolatry by putting ourselves or others before God. Jesus said if you even look at someone with lust, in your heart you've committed adultery. If you've ever hated someone, you're subject to judgement. The standard is too high for us. It's too holy.

The only thing you and I deserve now is justice. That's it. Justice. And God is just.

He sees all, hears all, and knows all. And He will judge the world with perfection and precision. There's no hope of hiding anything from Him. Our open and secret sins are equally known to Him.

But He's also merciful. And loving. And patient. And kind. And the fact that you're reading this right now is another act of His patience and kindness. Our one chance at forgiveness and being right before God is through one person. Jesus Christ.

God loves you so much, that He sent His son Jesus Christ to live a perfect life and take the punishment you and I deserve for our sins, so that you and I could be forgiven. It's the ONLY way of being right before God on judgement day. This forgiveness is offered if we do two things.

Jesus said come all of you who are weary and heavy laden, and He will give you rest. If you're tired of trying to be good enough for God, stop NOW! He already loved you enough to provide THE way to be right with Him. It's through Jesus Christ. The ONLY way. Do it while there is still time, for not even the next hour is promised to you.

And the result of repenting and believing in Jesus Christ?

You're made right before God. No need to fear God on judgement day. He begins working in you right now, making you a new person. Restoring your soul and making you more and more like Him and His Son. He'll work in open and hidden ways in your life to accomplish His plan. He'll help you to love His commands and help you walk in obedience to them.

And when your life is over here on earth, you'll spend eternity in heaven with God where there are no more tears, pain, or sorrow. Just joy. Forever.

It's the best gift anyone could ever have. This is the gospel. Repent and believe while there's still time. Let today be your day of salvation.
